《人民日報》自1946年6月創刊至今,是中國最具影響力和權威性的報紙。《人民日報》 作為中國政府的喉舌和唯一陣地,向中國和世界民眾發佈中央政府和中國共產黨的政策法規,政治動向,經濟資訊等。

2. Nexis Uni
Nexis Uni features more than 15,000 news, business and legal sources from LexisNexis—including U.S. Supreme Court decisions dating back to 1790—with an intuitive interface that offers quick discovery across all content types, personalization features such as Alerts and saved searches and a collaborative workspace with shared folders and annotated documents.

Friendly Advice to Fourth Year Students

Library Notice – Friendly Advice to Fourth Year Students

1.If you would like to apply for deposit refund, please fill in a form for refunding deposit and go to Library G/F or 3/F counter to proceed. (Service at 3/F counter will end after 31st May 2019)

2.Before proceeding application, you should clear library accounts by (a) Returning all items on loan (if any), and (b) Paying the fine (if any);

3. To check status of a library account, please login at our Primo web page: http://goo.gl/biErVL

4.After account clearing, the form will be stamped by library staff. You will immediately lose borrowing privileges and remote access right of online databases (normal expiry date is 31st August 2019). You can still enjoy reading and using facilities in the Library until 31st August 2019.

5. If you wish to continue using library service, you may apply for an alumni card. For details, please visit the web page http://goo.gl/RvaXgF or contact library staff.

Free Putonghua text for year 4 students

Library has sets of Putonghua textbooks available for year 4 students. Starting from 8th April 2019 (Mon), year 4 students could each collect a set  free-of-charge at the 2nd floor counter, Library Complex .

The trial database “Access China (Guangdong province)” has been activated for our library.

1. 瀚堂近代報刊數據庫

瀚堂近代報刊數據庫包括了上海《申報》《點石齋畫報》《新青年》,北京的《中西聞見錄》,香港《遐邇貫珍》等清末民國報刊約200種。資料庫中採用【標題配圖加工】的內容,諸如天津《益世報》《大公報》、上海《民國日報》、重慶的《新華日報》,長沙的《大公報》《湘報》、北京《順天時報》《東方雜誌》等報刊資料5000餘種。庫中【標引期刊資料】超過15000種,600萬件,讀者在IP範圍內註冊ID用戶條件下提出申請,標引文獻可在1-2個工作日內資料傳遞。

More than 850 business plans are included from the Business Plans Handbook series, with new business plans added monthly

New database: AP Stylebook Online

The Library is pleased to launch the following database:

AP Stylebook Online

AP Stylebook is a writing style guide for journalists. It is published and updated annually to reflect changes in writing style and new guidelines. It provides fundamental guidelines for spelling, language, punctuation, usage and journalistic style.
AP Stylebook Online is a searchable, customizable, regularly updated version of AP Stylebook which offers bonus features including Ask the Editor, Topical Guides and Pronunciation Guide, and expands on the print book’s guidance. It’s mobile optimized so you can use it on your desktop, laptop, smartphone or tablet.

AP Stylebook Online adds Webster’s New World College Dictionary, the stylebook’s first reference for spelling, style, usage and foreign geographic names.
